Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, I chose to follow my biggest passion: cinema.
My journey took me abroad, where I studied Film in the UK (University of Kent) and the US (University of California, Irvine), later earning a Master’s Degree in Film in France (University of Kent Paris) and graduating with First-Class Honours.
Dreaming of being on a film set since childhood, I undoubtedly made my younger self proud when I first stepped into the industry as a script supervisor trainee on the American production The World to Come, being taught by Andra Bărbuică, one of the best in the Romanian industry. Since then, I have worked on 12 short films, 2 feature films and a TV series as script supervisor, as well as one feature as 2nd AD.
Writing and directing represent my favourite forms of creative expression. During university, I directed two short films: The Lion’s Den (2022) and The Newcomer (2022). My directorial debut won the Best Foreign Student Film award at Hollywood Florida Film Festival. The Lion’s Den is a tragicomedy about overcoming one’s fears at a first family lunch. I am currently developing a short film about the experience of young Romanian students returning home aimless after studying abroad.
Beyond filmmaking, I have been part of the Industry team at Transilvania International Film Festival (2021-2022, 2024) and I am currently working in the Industry department of Les Films de Cannes à Bucarest 2025. I also write weekly film reviews for Cinemagia, covering prestigious film festivals such as the 2024 edition of Berlinale and Cannes, as well as Cannes 2025.
My mission is to tell stories that inspire hope and confidence, offering light in uncertain times.
